Cystoscopy, or cystourethroscopy is a procedure that enables the urologists at Kuwaiti German Urology Unit, Kuwait to view the inside of the bladder and urethra in detail. Cystoscopy is preformed to locate or find the causes of infection and pain in bladder or urethra, bladder stones & tumors, urinary difficulties, blood in the urine, urinary incontinence or overactive bladder, recurrent urinary tract infection, prostate enlargement, interstitial cystitis  or any other sort of abnormalities of the bladder and its lining.

Cystoscopy can be called as minimally invasive procedure, where the scope is inserted through the urethra and into the bladder and the whole procedure takes between 2 – 5 minutes to perform with negligible discomfort to the patients.

منظار المثانة هو الإجراء الذي يتيح لأطباء المسالك البولية في الوحدة الكويتية الالمانية لجراحة الكلى و المسالك البولية و التناسلية بالكويت فحص داخل المثانة ومجرى البول بكل التفاصيل.منظار المثانة مهم لتحديد أو العثور على أسباب الالتهابات والألم في المثانة أو مجرى البول، حصوات المثانة والأورام، والصعوبات البولية والدم في البول، سلس البول أو المثانة المضطربة ، وتضخم البروستاتا، والتهاب المثانة الخلالي أو أي انواع من التشوهات في المثانة و جدار المثانة.

يمكن أن يسمى منظار المثانة اجراء تشخيصي، حيث يتم إدخال منظار من خلال مجرى البول وفي المثانة والإجراء بأكمله يستغرق ما بين 2-5 دقائق فقط.
