What to Expect During Your Visit
The following items will be covered during your medical examination at Kuwaiti German Urology Unit, Kuwait:
Medical History: A detailed analysis of your urological symptoms as well as a complete review of your past and current medical conditions, therapeutic & surgical history.
A Physical Examination: This will usually include detailed and thorough examination of the abdominal and pelvic regions by our in-house expert urologists with the aid of imaging devices like ultrasound scanner, X-ray machine, laparoscope, resectoscope and ureteroscope.
Blood Tests: Comprehensive blood tests to be performed to assess kidney function and to screen for any potential disease.
Urinalysis: A urine specimen will be tested and examined for signs of blood, sugar or detect diabetes, pregnancy, bacteria in case of urinary tract infection.
Radiologic imaging is important in the evaluation & diagnosis of the critical and potentially fatal underlying urological disorders and the test might include:
- Ultrasound of the kidneys
- Ultrasound of the bladder
- Pelvic Ultrasound
Uroflowmetry: Uroflowmetry or uroflow test is carried out to identify the cause of either slow urination or difficulty in urinating and to determine the amount of urine and the speed of urination.
Renal Profile: Renal profile is a diagnostic test performed at Kuwaiti German Urology Unit to gather and analyse information about the general urological health of the individual. This test is performed to assess the levels of urea, electrolytes levels, uric acid, creatinine and also NMP 22 for bladder cancer screening.
