Title: IT Support Specialist

Description:

The IT Support Specialist’s role is to ensure proper functioning of computers, healthcare ERP, network, IP Camera, PBX System and other IT equipment and infrastructure so the employees of Kuwait Medical International can carry on with their daily schedule without any kind of interruption in their work.

Routine problem / diagnostics /maintenance / resolution may involve the use of IT expertise, logical reasoning and know-how of IT infrastructure that spans multiple campuses, locations and buildings.

This position reports to the IT Manager.

Knowledge & Experience:

• Knowledge of computer hardware
• Experience with desktop operating systems including Windows & Mac
• Extensive application support experience like Outlook, MS Office, Internal Portals including new installations and configuration / customization
• Working knowledge of computer networking, including cabling, crimping and installation of networking equipment like routers and switches
• Candidates with a valid Kuwaiti driving license and their own car will be given preference

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Install and perform maintenance and upgrades to hardware, software and peripheral equipment like printers & scanners
• Set up PC’s, Laptops, IP Telephones, Printers, Scanners etc. for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of Internet, Fingerprint scanners, LAN / WAN, IP Camera, Healthcare ERP System, Operating systems and related applications
• Oversee the daily performance of Healthcare ERP system
• Maintain record of daily troubleshooting activities, documentation of problems and remedial action taken
• Conduct hardware, software and network diagnostics, to investigate and resolve problems and to provide technical assistance & support to employees via phone
• Confer with IT Manager and Management Team to establish requirements for new systems, upgrade or modifications of existing systems
• Prepare evaluations & maintenance reports of existing software and hardware and recommend improvements, modifications or upgrades
