Consultant Urologist at Kuwait Medical International (KMI) talks about calcium oxalate & calcium phosphate kidney stones
As an Consultant Urologist, I find calcium oxalate kidney stones are more common amongst my patients here at Kuwaiti German Urology Unit, Kuwait and is mainly formed because of high amount of and high oxalate excretion. The second most commonly occurring kidney stone (also commonly prevalent in Kuwait) is of calcium phosphate and occurs when the urine is alkaline along with high calcium content.
