Ureterorenoscopic Lithotripsy or Ureteroscopy (URS) performed by experienced urologists and specialists at Kuwaiti German Urology Unit, Kuwait, is the endoscopic treatment of ureter stones using a mini-scope and is a well-known form of minimally invasive surgery for urological complications and disorders.

“During the procedure, ureterorenoscope is inserted into the bladder via urethra and up the ureter area and once the target-area or the stone in particular, is in sight, a lithoclast or the laser fibre probe is used to break the stone into smaller fragments. Lithotripsy is quite successful and convenient in treating and removing stones in the kidneys and upper ureter area, mostly by fragmentation with a laser beam which then allows the smaller and more pronounced fragments to be removed gently with a grasping device. • عملية إزالة الحصوات عن طريق المنظار:

يجري هذه العمليات مجموعة من الخبراء والمتخصصين في مجال جراحة الكلى و المسالك البولية والتناسلية، وتتم إزالة حصوات الحالب بالمنظار وكما هو معروف فإن استخدام المنظار في الجراحة قليل ما يتسبب بحدوث مضاعفات. وخلال هذه العمليه ندخل إلى المثانه عن طريق الإحليل ومنها إلى الحالب إلى أن نصل إلى مكان وجود الحصوة بالتحديد ثم نستخدم بعد ذلك أشعة الليزر لتفتيت الحصوة إلى أجزاء صغيرة جداً ويمكن أيضاً استخدام جهاز الليزر لتفتيت حصوات الكلى والجزء العلوي من الحالب عن طريق تفتيتها إلى أجزاء صغيرة ثم بعد ذلك يتم إزالتها.
